f in good news!

One of Randall's stock boards already has a new home, inside the vintage splitty owned by Pete from the British Surfing Museum, along with a bespoke surfing museum pivot fin to finish it off perfectly.

Understandably Pete is stoked, not least because the Museum of British Surfing is officially happening. As of last week, there is funding guaranteed and the paperwork is being signed to give a permenent exhibition and event space in the centre of Braunton, North Devon. Official opening is set for summer 2011 and the team have lots of exciting plans to go with it. All pretty exciting news and full credit to Pete and B for slogging through the hoops to get it done.

hug your shaper....

Randall has finally left his temporary Devonian shaping cave with some truly beautiful stock boards. All but the mini simm are available now. The mini simm is already in the water and by all accounts is incredibly fun.

post modern punk

I am really beyond stoked to publish a link to my latest article for Drift magazine. It's an interview with Randall, former shaper at classic malibu in noosa and temporarily crafting beautiful handmade boards in the UK again. I feel really lucky to have my words laid over the amazing photos of Dane Peterson. I think it came out great, hope you do too!

early bird

It's a massive cliche but the early bird often does get the worm, in surfing terms anyway. On this occasion it was Mr Rowe, UK agent for if6was9, reaping the benefits of a dawn patrol for a quiet logging session at a normally busy spot. One of the last few before the barefoot run across frozen sand became too awful we had to break out the booties!
Seems a distant memory with our current sea temperature!

Oh and Happy Valentines to my girls. You light up my life every day :-)
